20102010.
The day that marked the beginning of my soon-to-begin food tour in Melbourne.
This is just the warm-up and I feel fat already.
First stop,
dinner at No.1 Delicious,
serving Southern China dishes.
Possibly the best affordable Chinese food in the CBD?
Had Tea Tree Mushrooms with chicken and jelly noodles,
dumplings and some Chinese pancake thingy with spring onions.
This was also the place where I had the kung pao chicken that nearly made my head explode.
=/
Since then, I vow not to order anything spicy from their menu.
lol.
Next stop,
Max Brenner, QV.
Apparently the second best chocolate place in Melbourne,
first being Koko Black where I absolutely loveeeeee their chocolate mousse!
Anyway, back to Max Brenner.
We had the Thick Italian Hot Chocolate that came in the hug mug. Cute!
The White Chocolate Chai Tea in some alien-ish plastic pot. lol.
and Dark Chocolate Mocha Frappe that came in the Alice cup! I like.
K. Pictures not clear enough to show the looks of the Alice cup.
Anyway,
I think my Mocha Frappe was a tad bit too strong.
I loved the bitterness but not the insomnia that came later.
I ended up sleeping at four in the morning
and waking up at six with my heart feeling like it's gonna pop any second.
=/
All the hyperness made me walk over to Febbie's place at seven in the morning
in my pyjamies to go have a run in the gym.
haha.
Eight a.m,
and we're off to breakfast!
That was probably my third proper breakfast here in Australia.
I was never a breakfast person nor an early gym junkie.
It felt good,
then I felt slightly sick.
hmm..
Food stop #3:
MART 130, Albert Park.
Let's see...
this was our.. $70 worth of breakfast?
RM200 worth of breakfast!
O_O
The French Toast wasn't as good as expected though.
Mom's still the best.
But everything else was worth a try.
Like some say,
the place is just so cute!
Camwhoring in the middle of the tram tracks marked the end of our breakfast!
Headed back home to catch on some more sleep
before continuing on later in the afternoon.
I wasn't kidding when I said I was on a hardcore holiday.
Just wait and see.
