- Thanks to Aaron C. =)
It's a restaurant in my college managed by the hospitality student, and they usually have these coupons they give out to friends or friend's friends... In my case, or should I say, our case, it's from a friend's friend's friend. =P
We were served by a student named Jocelyn, who was clearly very nervous with her lecturer watching her every move. Nonetheless, she did a good job. At least better than any restaurants I've been to. XP
Like I said, it was sorta a fine dining thingy with all the procedures and etiquette and what not. Me, being a total 'sakai' was really clueless. lol. Worst of all, Aaron made me the 'host' as they put it. -.-"
After our drinks have been served, and the menu introduced and explained to us, we had our starter course. Then, there was this wine pouring part, where I, being the so called 'host' had the honour of 'experiencing' the ?'process'.
Our server, Jocelyn, came up to me and started introducing the wine to me.
Jocelyn: This is bla bla bla wine from France, it's white wine...*what year what year*... (I can't remember the exact line.lol)
Me: Er..okayy...
Jocelyn: Shall I pour the wine?
Me: Oh, okay.
*pours wine*
Me: *looks at my friends* Er...What should I do?? O_o
Jocelyn: You just turn the cup.
Me: Okay.. *turns the cup* Then..??
Jocelyn: Then smell it. Don't worry, you can't drink it.
Me: *smells* Okay..
Jocelyn: Is the wine okay?
Me: Er....
Jocelyn: *whispers* Just say 'yes'.
Me: Er..yes..
So yeah..that sorta explained my cluelessness. lol. Plus, it wasn't actually wine. It was just water. No wonder I couldn't decide whether the wine was okay or not. hah!
And before the main course was served, Aaron had to ask, "Which direction should we start from? Inside or outside?" [referring to the many choices of forks and spoons, of course.]
Anyway, it was fun. haha.
=D
