Archi Update #4

Studio 2, Project 2.

Another postcard thingy.

This time, we have to pick a 'creature' from Redang that intrigues us. (I hope it doesn's sound too confusing.)

Anyway, with that creature, we have to do more abstracting. And from there on, we are going to design our Diver's Point (Studio 2, Project 3) based on what we abstract.

So, basically, our Diver's Point has to be inspired by the 'creature' we picked.

I picked the Philippines Stony Coral. (Hope I got it right.)

I like the way it overlaps and curves. Different pieces that go together, forming one thing.... Gahh!! I suck at this poetic thing.

Anyway, I just feel so uninspired now.

Inspire me, please.

how much to rent an underwater cam? and what cam did they give y'all? interesting indeed....

learnt from a friend taking photography course that underwater photog is not easy...it's very challenging becuase once you've set your exposure and all, you cannot adjust anymore. if underwater situation different from wat you set, you need to go onto land and adjust again.

sounds fun, but i'm sure it can be really frustrating for especially one struggling to conquer the Manual settings..rofl...

so, kudos on these shots!! :) and hope your assignment goes on well...

On the 1st day, we managed to rent it from our resort, which was Redang Bay. We got a 7.1MP Canon IXUS camera, 2GB memory card for RM50.

2nd day we had to rent from the resort next door. 5.2MP Sony camera, 300 shots for RM60.

We didn't get those professional cameras la..just the normal compact cameras inside an underwater casing. lol~

So basically we just set everything to Auto Mode and start snapping! XP

Most of the pictures turned out not bad cuz the corals/fishes were quite close to the surface, and we still got lots of sunlight even underwater.
