iSh~

iSh - Fragments from an Urbanscape 9.2

"Natural calamities have claimed many lives lately. We are destroying our environment daily each time we live selfishly. Ask yourself - do you make an effort to help recycle every used plastic bottle, glass bottle and piece of paper you've utilised? Have you been too embarrassed to take away your leftovers from restaurants and too lazy to Tupperware the food you have cooked in excess? Do you drive to your neighbourhood coffee shop to buy a 70-cents coffee as you waste seven dollars of fuel when you can walk? Do you soap yourself or brush your teeth while you mindlessly let the water run? Do you turn on the air-con when you can open the window - is our tropical heat harder to bear than the loss of loved ones, ..."

- Kelley Cheng, editor.

I've bought a few copies of iSh magazine, and today's the first time I read the editor's note. What she wrote got me thinking. I bet each and every one of us are guilty for either one or more of the 'crimes' stated above.

Sad, isn't it?

So, this shall be something I'll try to keep in mind from today onwards.

All the attempt to help 'fight' global warming, and yet.... *sigh*
