Iced Lemon Tea with the small 'limau', please! =)

My boyfriend brought me to this really nice 'mamak' place across river in Kuching. (So-called 'mamak' la)

The place is located by the river, thus having a really nice view of Kuching Waterfront. [I didnt bring along my camera, so all I got are pictures from my phone..sad.. =( ]

Firstly, the area was packed with cars! Best way to get there is probably by 'sampan'. =P

But anyway, the 'mamak' that we went to was more like a cafe or something, not exactly BY THE RIVER, but it was a really nice place. Think it was called My Village Barok Bistro or something that has the words 'village' and 'barok'. =) (Great place for tourists - really 'Sarawakian', plus, they could just walk from Hilton to Waterfront and hop on a 'sampan' to get there!)

Here I got a blurred picture I took in a hurry while leaving. heh..~

Basically, the place looks like one of those Dayak houses you find in the Cultural Village. (the main reason why I think the place is cool) hehe~

and I just found out they have a website! Now, how maju can 'mamaks' be nowadays?? lol~

This is a picture of the inside~

My beloved boyfriend XD~

The view from where we were sitting~

The menu~
(didn't manage to get more pictures..the waitress took the menu away from me =S)

Our food!~
(Tom Yam Udang and my Nasi Paprik)

He ordered Nasi Goreng USA, and it came half an hour later. -.-"

The Tom Yam Udang soup was totally worth it. The small bowl cost only rm7, and it had like 10 big prawns inside! Yum..yum...!! Plus, it's big enough to share between 2-3 people. (as a side dish, of course.) On the other hand, the Nasi Goreng USA wasn't bad. However, the Nasi Paprik was sweet instead of spicy. There weren't even any paprika inside! Just a bunch of peas, celeries and some other yucky veggie that i don't eat.

Sadly, this 'mamak' doesn't serve things such as 'roti pisang' or rm2 FRESH FRUIT JUICE. =P

(This place is actually a BISTRO! With website summore! Must stop calling it a 'mamak'! =S )

Lastly, if you guys haven't noticed, I have no idea how to add caption to my photos! hee hee......(need help here!! *hint* *hint*)

Anyway,

Good night for now! =D
